Senior Coating & Painting Inspector

About the role

The Senior Coating & Painting Inspector will lead inspection activities for pipe coating and field joint projects within the oil and gas sector. This role requires extensive experience in coating systems, technical reporting, and coordination with EPC contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify pipe coating applications and field joint workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with BGAS Grade 2, NACE Level 2, ASME, ISO and BS standards.
• Prepare and submit detailed technical inspection reports.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors to resolve coating‑related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of coating processes and inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2 certification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in pipe coating and field joint inspection.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Computer literate with familiarity of industry codes (ASME, ISO, BS).
