Senior Communications Manager - Middle East

About the role

Shield AI, a venture‑backed defense‑technology company, is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to lead media relations and communications initiatives across the Middle East. You will elevate the brand in top‑tier media, amplify its credentials as a trusted defense technology partner, and shape narratives around cutting‑edge autonomous systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow Shield AI’s earned‑media footprint in the GCC, building relationships with defense, technology and business journalists and executing proactive media strategies tied to product milestones, contracts and major exhibitions.
• Develop regional content—including press releases, bylines, talking points, speeches and executive briefings—while localising global narratives for cultural nuance and stakeholder priorities.
• Shape and protect Shield AI’s reputation by maintaining a consistent visibility drumbeat, managing narrative risk, and anticipating geopolitical sensitivities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of communications experience in defense, aerospace, government or technology sectors, with a mix of in‑house and agency background.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, political science, international relations or a related field.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English and exceptional storytelling abilities.
• Proven track record securing earned‑media coverage in UAE, KSA and Qatar, and deep understanding of GCC defence and government landscapes.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
