Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer

About the role

The Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer assists in executing compliance monitoring reviews of the First Line of Defense, providing assurance on the effectiveness of compliance controls. The officer helps plan, scope, carry out fieldwork and report on assigned reviews in line with the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in performing compliance monitoring reviews as assigned by the line manager or Head of CMAT, supporting the Senior Compliance Assurance Managers
• Provide timely feedback on findings to stakeholders during the reviews
• Ensure compliance breaches are identified, escalated and logged in the GRC system
• Agree realistic and timed action plans to mitigate the risks found
• Follow the Compliance Monitoring SOP, including completing the Process, Risks and Controls (PRC) document and work papers
• Maintain all relevant records on the department's shared drive
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the line manager or Head of CMAT

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or higher in business, finance or a related subject
• Knowledge of UAE rules and regulations
• Bilingual English and Arabic speaker is an advantage
• Ability to build constructive relationships with peers and seniors
