Senior Concrete Designer

About the role

The Senior Concrete Designer will lead the development of concrete designs and engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, client requirements, and local regulations while maintaining constructability. The role also includes training and developing junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative design solutions that reduce manpower, cost, and schedule.
• Research advanced construction technologies and integrate them into designs.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities to obtain fast approvals for design‑build contracts.
• Review and approve compatibility of architectural, civil, MEP, and steel/cladding drawings.
• Prepare and manage drawing submittal logs and issue construction‑ready drawings.
• Conduct site visits to validate designs against actual conditions.
• Support cost control, tendering, and the preparation of as‑built drawings.
• Maintain a library of standard, low‑cost constructible details.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior concrete and structural design roles.
• Ability to train and develop subordinate engineers.
• Strong coordination skills with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering compliant, constructible designs.
