Key responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders globally and lead communications on conflicts and client confidentiality.
  • Lead internal training on conflicts, client confidentiality, share dealing and insider lists.
  • Identify weaknesses in the client onboarding system (Intapp Intake) and recommend improvements with the Director of Conflicts and the Compliance Business Systems team.
  • Develop a phased programme to improve service delivery and to build a fully centralised conflict checking and analysis function within two years.
  • Support the Director of Conflicts on quality, consistency, service excellence, people initiatives and team culture.
  • Contribute to reporting to senior management and to cross-functional initiatives, and keep up to date with regulation, technology and market developments.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance or another relevant field.
  • Experience in a compliance or in-house legal role in an international law firm or professional services environment.
  • Deep technical knowledge of legal conflicts of interest, commercial conflicts and client confidentiality, with some knowledge of Market Abuse Regulations.
  • People management experience, including supervising large teams and driving recruitment and development initiatives.
  • Proven track record of delivering change and process improvements.
  • Experience in an offshore environment or with offshore structures is helpful but not required.

Required skills

  • Familiarity with Intapp Intake and Intapp.
  • Policy work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail and good judgement.
