Senior Consultant Assistant Manager – Risk Management

About the role

KPMG Middle East is seeking a Senior Consultant Assistant Manager to support the Functional Quality and Performance Lead Partner and Functional Risk Management Partner in delivering advisory quality and risk initiatives. The role focuses on large transformation projects, ensuring compliance with global and local policies while fostering a culture of quality, ethics, and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the F‑QPLP/F‑RMP and their delegate in day‑to‑day quality and risk management activities across the Advisory service line.
• Lead risk management processes for large transformation projects that exceed defined thresholds, ensuring adherence to global and local standards.
• Develop, update, and enforce internal policies, procedures, and guidelines related to quality and risk management.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks, escalating breaches and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare ad‑hoc risk reports, presentations, and coordinate departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, ACCA, CFE, ACAMS) is a plus.
• 6‑7 years of experience at a Big 4 firm, multinational organization, or financial institution in risk management, internal audit, compliance or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of global and local quality and risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to provide solution‑focused advice and practical business solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Technical ability to operate risk‑management platforms and related tools.
