Senior Consultant Financial Services - ERS (GRC)

About the role

KPMG Lower Gulf is looking for a Senior Consultant in Financial Services covering Enterprise Risk, Regulatory and Compliance (ERS) and GRC. The role manages and monitors multiple engagements and teams' activities, delivering them on time and to quality, and supports Engagement Partners in business development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor multiple engagements and teams' activities, delivering on time and to quality.
• Train and update teams on recent and upcoming regulatory changes and trends affecting Financial Services clients.
• Lead initiatives to improve service delivery effectiveness and efficiency, such as a digital shift and standardisation of workpapers.
• Carry out KPMG's internal risk management and client engagement procedures, including client acceptance, continuance and engagement procedures for Internal Audit, ICOFR, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Internal Audit Quality Assurance Reviews.
• Support Engagement Partners and lead business development, including reviewing pre-engagement activities, contracting and meeting prospective clients.
• Implement new services, KPMG methodologies and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Management Accounting or equivalent.
• Relevant qualification such as CIA, CA, ACCA, CISA, CFE, CRMA, BCM or CCGP.
• At least 6-7 years of experience in Internal Audit, ICOFR, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance and QA reviews, preferably in a consulting firm or financial institution (bank, insurance).
• At least 6 months of experience in an assistant managerial role.
• Experience managing teams and handling about 2-3 engagements at once.
• Flawless English; Arabic is a plus.

• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Analytical approach, leadership and team mentoring skills.
