Senior Consultant – Legal & Regulatory Compliance (GRC)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to lead legal and regulatory compliance engagements across multiple sectors in the UAE. The role combines deep knowledge of UAE laws with the ability to design and implement robust compliance frameworks for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regulatory compliance reviews, risk and gap assessments, and maturity assessments.
• Design and enhance legal policies, procedures, and control environments aligned with UAE regulations and international best practices.
• Interpret UAE laws, develop obligation registers, and create monitoring programs.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise clients on emerging supervisory trends.
• Conduct client interviews, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Supervise junior team members, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Support legal and compliance audits, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Draft high‑quality reports, executive summaries, and board‑level recommendations.
• Identify risks and control gaps, and develop remediation roadmaps.
• Contribute to internal methodologies, templates, and thought‑leadership initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) – preferred; Master’s degree (LLM) – preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in legal advisory, regulatory compliance, risk advisory, or internal audit.
• Proven expertise in interpreting UAE regulatory frameworks (e.g., SCA, CBUAE, FSRA, ADAA, DFSA).
• Strong research skills using LexisNexis or similar platforms.
• Excellent English report‑writing and presentation abilities.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and managing multiple engagements.
