Senior Cost Controller – EPC Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join its Sustainable Technology Solutions team in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee cost management for large‑scale MEGA EPC projects, providing accurate financial analysis and supporting senior leadership to optimise project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor project budgets, cost baselines and control procedures.
• Track actual costs against forecasts, analyse variances and produce detailed performance reports and dashboards.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow projections, Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) analyses.
• Manage contractual costs, variations, claims and support dispute resolution with cost‑related documentation.
• Identify cost‑related risks, maintain risk registers and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, finance, procurement and engineering teams to provide timely cost information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in cost control, project controls or commercial management on EPC, oil & gas, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Professional certifications such as CCP, PMP, CMA, CPA or MRICS are preferred.
• Proven ability to manage medium to large‑scale project budgets and support Earned Value Management (EVM) processes.
