Senior Cost Manager - Post Contract

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with capabilities in programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Cost Manager - Post Contract to join its organisation in Dubai. The role manages post-contract services, including interim applications, change management, variation valuations and extension of time claims, under standard form contracts such as FIDIC.

Key responsibilities

• Manage post-contract services, handle interim applications, monitor post-contract costs and analyse actual expenditure, commitments and forecasted costs against approved budgets
• Deal with cost variances and manage change control, including valuation of variations and assessment of extension of time claims with detailed financial analysis and contractual justification
• Develop and maintain cost forecasting models to predict final project costs and identify overruns or savings
• Review and validate contractor invoices, change orders and claims, and produce post-contract and ad-hoc reports
• Reconcile contract terms, invoices and accounting records, and negotiate with contractors to agree final accounts
• Lead and mentor junior cost analysts on cost management methodologies and contract administration

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in cost management, post-contract administration or similar financial management roles in construction, engineering or project-based environments
• Prior UAE construction industry experience is essential
• Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AIQS or equivalent is highly preferred

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and data visualisation
• Cost analysis, budget forecasting, cost control and financial interpretation
• Knowledge of FIDIC standard form contracts and contract administration
• Risk identification and mitigation in project delivery
