Senior Credit Documentation Officer

About the role

The Senior Credit Documentation Officer ensures that all credit exposures are properly documented, legally enforceable, and compliant with ADIB Group's policies and regulatory requirements. This role acts as the final checkpoint before limits are approved and disbursed, safeguarding the bank’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all terms and conditions from credit approvals are complied with before releasing limits.
• Prepare and review facility, agreement, and security documents for legal and policy compliance.
• Update credit systems with risk ratings, expiry dates, and collateral details.
• Assist the Team Leader in implementing audit recommendations and SOPs.
• Provide timely customer service to business partners, meeting SLA turnaround times.
• Log irregularities, exceptions, and approvals in an exception report for monitoring.
• Maintain safe custody of all credit and security documentation for the assigned segment.
• Process security release requests after confirming required approvals and settlement of facilities.
• Act as backup custodian for security keys and report exposure details to the Central Bank.
• Report overdue exceptions to Business and Risk Managers on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of banking experience with at least 3 years in credit documentation and operations.
• Thorough understanding of bank policies, product manuals, and Islamic credit products.
• Effective communication skills in English and preferably Arabic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
