Senior Data Engineer (Industrial AI)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join Cognite’s industrial AI team in the UAE. You will work on building and scaling data pipelines that enable our customers in power, energy and manufacturing to turn raw data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions on Cognite Data Fusion®.
• Develop integrations, data extraction, modeling and analysis using Python, SQL and REST APIs.
• Create custom data models for discovery, mapping and cleansing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, solution architects and project managers to deliver end‑to‑end projects.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices and contribute to Cognite SDKs and tools.
• Support customers and partners in using Cognite products for data engineering tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering production‑grade data pipelines in a customer‑facing role.
• Experience with distributed computing platforms such as Kubernetes and cloud services on GCP or Azure.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and share knowledge within cross‑functional teams.
