Senior Design Engineer – Remote

About the role

Euro Mechanical is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design of skid‑mounted packages and process equipment for oil and gas projects. This fully remote position reports to the Engineering Lead and covers the entire design lifecycle from concept to Issued for Construction (IFC).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs for live projects.
• Build 3D parametric models of skid packages and process equipment using SolidWorks, Inventor and CAD Works.
• Prepare structural and piping fabrication drawings, including general arrangements, shop drawings and as‑built documents.
• Review drawings for constructability, integrity and compliance with client standards and international codes.
• Perform basic structural simulations for skid frames and lifting operations.
• Participate in 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC model reviews and close out punch‑list items.
• Manage Design Change Notes (DCN) and Technical Queries (TQ); support Design HAZOP and safety‑in‑design reviews.
• Identify opportunities to reduce material usage and fabrication costs.
• Lead and mentor design engineers and draftsmen; act as technical liaison for clients, consultants, project managers, procurement and production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of design experience in the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong background in skid‑mounted packages such as chemical injection, metering, fuel gas conditioning and static equipment.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a design team.
• Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards.

Required skills

• SolidWorks, Inventor, CAD Works (hands‑on, ≥8 years).
• AutoCAD (advantage).
• Application of ASME Section VIII Div 1, ASME B31.3 and ASME B16.5.
• Knowledge of ADNOC specifications.
• Basic structural simulation tools.
