Senior Digital Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for the development, integration, production support, and maintenance of firmware for advanced electronic systems and subsystems used in demanding aerospace and defense environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement FPGA firmware using VHDL for FPGA, SoC, and CPLD platforms.
• Optimize firmware for resource‑constrained devices such as Intel Max10 CPLDs and lead the full FPGA development lifecycle.
• Develop Board Support Packages, peripheral interfaces, and automated test benches for verification.
• Perform simulation, debugging, and validation of FPGA and SoC designs, and troubleshoot PCB‑level issues.
• Collaborate with PCB/E‑CAD engineers, create embedded C software for FPGA‑SoC integration, and produce comprehensive technical documentation complying with DO‑254/DO‑178 standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on FPGA firmware development experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high‑technology industries is preferred.

Required skills

• VHDL development and verification.
• Intel Altera and/or AMD Xilinx FPGA families (Cyclone, Zynq‑7000, etc.).
• Intel Max10 CPLD devices.
• Embedded C development on SoC platforms.
• Digital and analog circuit design, PCB debugging.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards (DO‑254, DO‑178).
• Tools: AMD Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus Prime/II, HDL Designer, Altium Designer, Eclipse, Git, ModelSim/Questa.
