Senior Document Controller (Oil & Gas)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join the ADNOC Offshore – Umm Shaif Gas Cap Phase 1 project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures all project documentation is managed, controlled and compliant with both Wood’s and client standards, supporting seamless information flow across contractors and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and operate the project document control system in line with company procedures and ADNOC requirements.
• Register, distribute, track and retrieve all project documents, ensuring accurate transmittals and log updates.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors and clients to guarantee timely submission and receipt of documentation.
• Prepare transmittals, generate status reports and maintain document traceability.
• Secure storage of confidential records and coordinate audits to meet QA/QC standards.
• Train and mentor junior document controllers on established processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Minimum 10 years of document control experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with document management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and major client documentation requirements.
