Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will support the Lead Electrical Engineer on EPC electrical activities for ADNOC projects, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high‑quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on EPC electrical deliverables such as load lists, cable schedules, single‑line diagrams, equipment datasheets and hazardous‑area drawings.
• Maintain discipline tracking sheets (cable register, MCC feeder lists, load updates, TQ logs) and prepare interface registers.
• Assist in power system study inputs and validation, including load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, relay coordination and arc‑flash assessments.
• Support 3D model review for cable‑tray routing, panel placement and clash detection using AVEVA E3D/PDMS and SP3D.
• Provide construction and pre‑commissioning assistance, reviewing cable pulling, termination, torque, IR testing and earthing compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 7‑10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience on offshore platform projects and familiarity with ADNOC standards is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi and flexibility for shift work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AVEVA E3D/PDMS and SP3D for electrical modelling and clash checking.
• Preparation and review of electrical load lists, cable schedules, single‑line diagrams and equipment datasheets.
• Knowledge of power system studies (load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, relay coordination, arc‑flash).
• Understanding of hazardous‑area requirements, ATEX/IECEx certification and earthing/bonding standards.
