Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and integrate mission‑critical software for unmanned systems such as UAVs, UGVs and USVs. The role involves creating embedded and application‑level software, scalable architectures and HMI/GUI applications to support autonomous and semi‑autonomous operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications for unmanned platforms.
• Develop embedded and application‑level code for autonomy, navigation, communication and payload integration.
• Architect scalable software frameworks and interfaces.
• Create and maintain HMI/GUI applications and reusable UI components.
• Integrate sensor data (IMU, GPS/GNSS, LiDAR, EO/IR, radar) and communication stacks (RF, LTE, satellite, TCP/IP).
• Participate in all R&D phases from concept to deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10‑15 years of software design and development experience, preferably in unmanned systems, robotics, aerospace or defense.
• Strong proficiency in C++, C# and Python.
