Senior Embryologist – IVF Laboratory Lead

About the role

Provide advanced embryology services within the IVF laboratory, ensuring high standards of clinical and laboratory practice across assisted reproductive technologies. The role offers technical leadership, supervision of the embryology team, and close collaboration with clinicians to optimise patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced embryology and andrology procedures, including ICSI, embryo culture, assessment, transfer, biopsy, cryopreservation and gamete handling.
• Ensure effective laboratory operations, equipment management, safety and quality control.
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance, training, supervision and mentorship to embryologists and laboratory staff.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams throughout patient treatment cycles.
• Contribute to research, service development and implementation of improved laboratory techniques and protocols.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology or Reproductive Sciences and a valid or eligible DHA, DOH or MOH licence as an Embryologist.
• Minimum 5 years’ hands‑on experience in an IVF laboratory with key procedures such as ICSI, embryo culture, transfer and cryopreservation.
• Preferred 8 years’ experience, experience in a JCI‑accredited facility or multi‑site IVF operation, and involvement in embryology research or quality‑assurance programmes.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of IVF laboratory and embryology procedures.
• Proficiency in ICSI, embryo culture, grading, cryopreservation, andrology and micromanipulation techniques.
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality control, quality assurance, SOPs and regulated clinical practices.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory healthcare framework related to IVF.
