Senior Embryologist

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Dubai is looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Embryologist to carry out advanced embryology laboratory activities and help deliver high-quality IVF and ART services. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise day-to-day embryology laboratory activities
• Handle and assess oocytes, sperm and embryos according to established laboratory protocols
• Perform IVF and ICSI procedures, assess fertilization and embryo development, and grade and select embryos
• Support fresh and frozen embryo transfer cycles, and perform cryopreservation and thawing of embryos and gametes
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and traceability documentation, and monitor quality-control parameters
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality and infection-control procedures
• Take part in developing and implementing laboratory SOPs, and support junior embryologists and laboratory staff
• Work closely with reproductive medicine physicians and other members of the IVF team, and take part in quality improvement, audits and performance monitoring

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Embryology, Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Biomedical Science or a related discipline
• Relevant professional training in clinical embryology/ART
• Significant experience working in an IVF laboratory, with strong practical experience in IVF and ICSI
• Experience with embryo culture, assessment and cryopreservation
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality-control and traceability systems
• Candidates must meet the applicable Saudi professional and regulatory requirements for their profession

Preferred experience

• ICSI, embryo biopsy/PGT, vitrification, blastocyst culture and time-lapse embryo assessment
• Fertility preservation and quality management systems
• IVF laboratory leadership
