Senior Engineer - Antenna and EM

About the role

EDGE, an advanced technology group headquartered in the UAE, is hiring a Senior Engineer - Antenna and EM for its Halcon business unit in Abu Dhabi. The engineer leads the design, development, simulation, testing and validation of advanced antenna and communication systems for missile and defence applications, working with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, test and optimise antenna systems and RF communication subsystems for defence and missile applications.
• Perform electromagnetic modelling, RF propagation analysis, link budget calculations, channel characterisation and interference assessment.
• Develop and validate Software Defined Radio (SDR) solutions, including signal processing, modulation and coding techniques.
• Lead technical reviews, qualification testing and cross-functional integration, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in RF engineering, antenna design and wireless communication systems.
• Strong expertise in antenna theory, electromagnetics, RF propagation, interference analysis and communication system design.
• Preferred: experience in defence, aerospace, missile, radar or military communications, and prior technical leadership.
• English proficiency required; unsolicited agency resumes are not accepted.
