Senior Engineer, Construction – Civil (Buildings)

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Civil (Buildings) to lead the delivery of industrial buildings, control rooms, administrative facilities and related infrastructure for oil, gas and petrochemical plants in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures structural integrity, quality execution and compliance with project specifications throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities for industrial buildings, control rooms and admin facilities.
• Ensure structural integrity and quality standards are met on‑site.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate infrastructure within oil, gas and petrochemical projects.
• Monitor compliance with international design and construction codes.
• Manage documentation, progress reporting and risk mitigation related to civil works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive civil construction experience, preferably on large oil, gas or petrochemical projects.
• Proven experience with ADNOC projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of international design and construction codes such as ACI, ASTM, BS and AISC.
