Senior Engineer - Drilling Services

About the role

ADNOC Onshore is looking for a Senior Engineer for its Drilling Services function in Abu Dhabi. The role manages drilling services commitments according to industry best practice, latest technology, ADNOC Onshore policies and legal requirements, operating independently on assigned projects and choosing the contract model. It covers the full tendering and contracting process, from need identification and tender strategy to contract execution, performance monitoring and close-out.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and validate the need for tendering, build business cases, prepare tender strategies and secure approvals
• Assess the competency of existing bidders and take part in pre-qualification of new companies
• Prepare and attend tender committee meetings and tender board meetings, reviewing submissions and technical aspects
• Build technical scope, pricing structure and specifications for contracts, and support technical and commercial evaluations and negotiations
• Review tender packages against ADNOC standards and the scope of work, and manage variations through the delegation of authority
• Follow up mobilization, HSE compliance, corrective actions, performance management and contractor allocation, and coordinate internally to capture lessons learned
• Ensure contract validity, completion and close-out, and review contractor performance evaluations and disputes
• Negotiate contract claims and variations with Procurement and Legal, and reconcile unused release orders
• Manage contract resources (people, equipment) and liaise with HSE, QA&QC teams and end users

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Petroleum or equivalent)
• 8 years of experience, including drilling technology, equipment, products and methods
• Experience on the well site and with financial, tendering/contracting and cost engineering systems and procedures
• Professional certifications, including contract management certificates
