Senior Engineer - Electrical

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Electrical will supervise and inspect all electrical works for infrastructure projects in Dubai, covering LV/HV networks, street lighting, power distribution, and telecom ducts. The role ensures compliance with local authority standards and coordinates closely with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect LV/HV network installations, street lighting, power distribution and telecom duct works.
• Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with DEWA, Etisalat, DU, RTA and other authority standards.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil and mechanical activities to maintain schedule integrity.
• Monitor installation, testing and commissioning, including insulation resistance, continuity and load tests.
• Verify cable routing, trenching, ducting and manhole installations against approved drawings.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and document all inspections and approvals.
• Support final inspection, authority handover and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of electrical supervision experience on road and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Proven ability to oversee installation and testing of street lighting, traffic signals and related systems.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical codes and standards (DEWA, ADDC, RTA).
