Senior Engineer - Planning And Cost Control Offshore

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Engineer specialized in Planning and Cost Control for offshore brownfield projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on developing schedules, monitoring budgets, and supporting change management for subsea and pipeline works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project schedules for offshore brownfield works such as wellhead platforms, subsea cables and piping.
• Prepare baseline schedules and track progress, identifying deviations and recommending recovery actions.
• Perform cost estimation, budgeting and ongoing cost monitoring for brownfield modifications.
• Coordinate with EPC, PMC and contractors to ensure alignment on planning, scheduling and cost control.
• Support change management processes, including MCRs and VOs, and conduct risk and impact analyses on schedule and cost.
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholder review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and cost control within the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience on offshore projects; PMC experience preferred.
• Previous involvement in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, budgeting and earned value management.
