Senior Engineer QA Automation

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead test automation, DevOps, and AI‑driven initiatives across Group IT. You will design, build, and evolve enterprise‑grade automation frameworks that accelerate delivery while ensuring quality, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design, and implement enterprise‑grade test automation frameworks, enhancing them with AI‑driven test generation, failure analysis, and optimisation.
• Develop and embed best practices for Test Automation, DevOps, and CI/CD, integrating AI‑enabled validation to support shift‑left quality controls.
• Implement and support RPA and AI‑driven automation solutions (UiPath, Document Understanding, OCR, ML models) across service lines.
• Design and deliver CI/CD pipelines that incorporate automated testing, RPA workflows, and AI‑assisted validation for end‑to‑end, touch‑less delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and govern new automation, RPA, and AI tools, ensuring responsible use and measurable cost efficiencies.
• Champion an automation‑first, AI‑enabled approach, embedding standards into GIT policies and delivery processes.
• Lead proof‑of‑concepts for new tools, support test automation teams, and create reusable, data‑driven automation assets.
• Develop automation tools using open‑source technologies such as Selenium (BDD, Appium, Rest Assured, Karate) and cloud‑based mobile device farms.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in test automation engineering and DevOps.
• Proven track record of building automation solutions adopted by business and non‑technical teams.
• Strong expertise in RPA (UiPath) and AI components for intelligent automation.
• Ability to lead POCs, mentor teams, and drive automation standards across a large organisation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex scenarios (PDF automation, test execution recording, etc.).
