Senior Engineer – Telemetry

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Radio Frequency and Telemetry to support the design, development, testing, integration, and qualification of advanced RF and airborne telemetry systems for defence and aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and evaluate RF, microwave, electromagnetic and telemetry subsystems for missile, UAV and aerospace platforms.
• Perform RF simulations, link‑budget analysis, measurements and communication performance assessments.
• Develop airborne telemetry hardware including RF transmitters, SDR architectures, power amplifiers, filtering networks and data acquisition electronics.
• Define telemetry architectures, data packaging, frame structures, synchronization and bandwidth allocation.
• Integrate telemetry with onboard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, RS‑422/485 and avionics networks.
• Lead laboratory, ground, factory acceptance and flight‑test activities, including troubleshooting and post‑flight data analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or RF/Microwave Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in RF engineering, telemetry systems or aerospace electronics.
• Strong knowledge of IRIG‑106 telemetry standards, PCM telemetry, framing and synchronization.
• Hands‑on experience with RF simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, CST, HFSS, ADS, Microwave Office).
• Proficiency with RF test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator).
