Senior Engineer – Well Completions

About the role

ADNOC Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead well completion activities for onshore gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on preparing, optimizing, and overseeing drilling, completion, and work‑over operations while ensuring compliance with ADNOC technical, operational, and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design well trajectories, drill‑string configurations, and bottom‑hole assemblies.
• Plan and execute completion operations on rigs, including mobilization, demobilization, and orientation.
• Evaluate well designs, provide cost‑effective solutions, and mitigate risks throughout the drilling‑completion lifecycle.
• Review under‑performing wells and recommend remedial actions to restore productivity.
• Collaborate with drilling, subsurface, and vendor teams to deliver wells from design through abandonment.
• Prepare technical reviews, verification of completion designs, and cost estimates for well abandonment programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in drilling operations, with at least 4 years in a similar well‑completion role.
