Senior Finance Associate – 6+ Years PQE

About the role

Charterhouse is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Finance Associate for its Dubai finance practice. The role focuses on structuring both conventional and Islamic financing solutions across the GCC and wider EMEA, working closely with partners, lenders and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on cross‑border financing transactions, including acquisitions, project, real estate and infrastructure deals.
• Lead and manage complex financing and restructuring mandates, covering conventional and Sharia‑compliant structures.
• Draft, review and negotiate finance documentation such as CTAs, facility agreements, intercreditor and security packages.
• Oversee debt workouts, insolvency and refinancing assignments with multi‑jurisdictional elements.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, ensuring quality and consistency across workstreams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in banking/finance at an international or top regional firm.
• Common‑law qualification (e.g., England & Wales) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in project, real estate and acquisition finance, both conventional and Islamic.
• Proven ability to lead transactions end‑to‑end and coordinate multi‑jurisdictional diligence.
• Comfortable engaging with banks, ECAs, sponsors and government‑related entities.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of drafting and negotiating finance documentation (CTAs, facility agreements, intercreditor and security packages).
• Expertise in conventional and Sharia‑compliant financing structures.
• Strong understanding of restructuring, insolvency and refinancing processes.
