Senior Freight Planning Specialist

About the role

The company seeks an experienced Senior Freight Planning Specialist to lead freight planning, coordinate transportation, and manage the movement of materials and equipment for construction projects across domestic and international supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute freight plans aligned with procurement schedules, project milestones and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate bookings with shipping lines, airlines, road carriers and freight forwarders, and monitor shipment readiness and performance.
• Plan multimodal transport (road, sea, air, rail) for oversized, hazardous or specialized cargo, including route surveys and permits.
• Maintain a freight planning calendar, forecast demand, and create contingency plans for delays or disruptions.
• Analyze carrier rates, negotiate contracts, and monitor market trends to improve cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior experience in freight procurement, transport scheduling and logistics cost analysis.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to collaborate with procurement, warehouse, project management and finance teams.
• Knowledge of UAE freight regulations, customs procedures and multimodal transportation options.
