Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Space42 is looking for a senior engineer to own full‑stack delivery across multiple projects. You will design, build, and ship features using React on the frontend and Java (Spring Boot) on the backend, taking end‑to‑end ownership without relying on a counterpart.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across React and Spring Boot stacks, adapting to each project's existing architecture.
• Maintain and extend frontend state‑management patterns while ensuring data integrity and correct transaction boundaries on the backend.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the full stack, from UI rendering bugs to backend concurrency and performance problems.
• Profile and improve performance under real usage, and ensure UI changes meet WCAG accessibility standards.
• Work on relational database schema changes, query tuning, and migrations using production‑safe practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of strong React experience with deep knowledge of state architecture at scale.
• 5+ years of strong Java experience, including concurrency, thread safety, and the java.util.concurrent toolkit.
• Proven ability to read and extend unfamiliar codebases across both frontend and backend.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects with differing codebases, conventions, and risk profiles.
