Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

NSCC International is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead the design of complex foundation systems for large‑scale projects across the UAE and GCC. The role combines advanced soil‑structure modelling, ground improvement design, and multidisciplinary coordination to deliver safe, sustainable foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical and structural design of bored piles, secant piles, diaphragm walls, barrettes, anchors, struts, and piled raft foundations.
• Perform advanced 3D finite element modelling using Plaxis 3D for soil‑structure interaction analysis.
• Conduct structural analysis of raft foundations and ground slabs with SAFE.
• Design and specify ground improvement works such as vibro compaction, stone columns, dynamic compaction and grouting.
• Review calculations, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with BS, Eurocodes, ACI and local regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of geotechnical designers, engineers and CAD draftsmen.
• Support business development through technical proposals and client presentations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics or Civil Engineering from a top‑tier university.
• 12–15 years of experience in piling and foundation design, preferably within a contracting environment.
• Proven expertise in deep foundation systems, ground improvement techniques and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Excellent command of English; Chartered Engineer or PE status preferred.
