Senior Geotechnical Engineer – UAE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide independent technical reviews and geotechnical engineering services in line with UAE authority requirements. The role involves supporting project teams across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, ensuring designs meet local standards and safety criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Review pile foundation, shoring system, soil improvement designs and soil‑structure interaction studies.
• Assess geotechnical investigation reports, including bearing capacity, liquefaction, cavity assessments and design parameters.
• Evaluate soil improvement reports, calculations, method statements and quality control test results.
• Develop and review 2D and 3D geotechnical analyses using PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D.
• Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities, and coordinate approval processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Geology alone not accepted).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE, with design experience.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi design standards and authority approval processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PLAXIS 2D.
• Proficiency in PLAXIS 3D.
