Senior GL Accountant / Healthcare Finance Specialist

About the role

GFAD is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior GL Accountant / Healthcare Finance Specialist to join its growing healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing general ledger accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance and audit coordination within the hospital sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities and general ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed assets management and inventory accounting.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure VAT and corporate tax compliance in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred).
• 5–8 years of accounting & finance experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare group.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (EBS/Fusion) proficiency.
• SAP experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
