Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Specialist – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Specialist to lead our governance and compliance functions across the UAE insurance sector and our international branches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a corporate governance framework and related policies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE insurance, healthcare and AML regulations, as well as standards set by CBUAE, SCA, DoH and DHA.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align governance structures with strategic objectives.
• Monitor, report and evaluate the effectiveness of governance and compliance systems to senior management and the Board.
• Act as the primary liaison for regulatory audits, inspections and inquiries.
• Oversee governance and compliance alignment for branches and subsidiaries outside the UAE, adhering to local regulations.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of governance and compliance experience within the UAE insurance industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE insurance, healthcare regulations, AML requirements and risk‑management best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications in compliance, AML, risk or governance preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with capacity to make strategic decisions under pressure.
