Senior Governance Risk Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead governance, risk and compliance activities for our insurance business in Dubai. The role ensures adherence to UAE regulatory standards, supports the Board and senior management, and coordinates compliance across regional subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the corporate governance framework and policies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE insurance laws, AML requirements and regulations issued by CBUAE, SCA, DoH and DHA.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and prepare required reports and filings.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of governance systems and report to senior management and the Board.
• Align governance and compliance practices across branches and subsidiaries outside the UAE with local regulations.
• Provide guidance to business units on risk mitigation and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in governance, risk or compliance within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of UAE insurance regulations, AML standards and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
