Senior Hook Up Engineer

About the role

Senior Hook Up Engineer will lead the discipline and support the Hook‑up Lead and Manager in delivering the construction and completion campaign during the hook‑up phase, ensuring projects are executed successfully and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook‑up job cards, develop discipline‑specific WBS and schedule, and ensure sequencing with other disciplines.
• Review construction work packs, material requisitions, and design MTOs for compliance with project specifications and offshore contingencies.
• Coordinate deliveries, monitor progress registers, and liaise with warehouse, fabrication, and material teams to secure inspection clearance.
• Develop detailed hook‑up plans, conduct risk assessments, and enforce Permit‑To‑Work requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborate with project management, procurement, and commissioning teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of offshore engineering experience, preferably in hook‑up activities.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices, standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making abilities under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with API and ISO standards related to hook‑up activities.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software for planning and tracking.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Experience with Permit‑To‑Work procedures and safety compliance.
