Senior HSE Engineer – Site

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our site team in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure contractors implement and follow the approved HSE plan, procedures and legal requirements.
• Identify project risks, communicate them to contractors and ensure appropriate controls are applied.
• Develop and implement proactive HSE monitoring programmes, including joint inspections, audits and fire safety audits.
• Participate in incident investigations and ensure statutory reporting to ADOSH‑SF.
• Prepare and review monthly HSE reports, KPIs and trend analyses for project management.
• Chair regular HSE meetings, manage minutes and promote a positive HSE culture on site.
• Review and approve risk assessments, method statements and ensure task‑specific controls are communicated.
• Ensure all HSE permits, NOCs and registrations are up‑to‑date and compliant with federal and local regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the HSE domain, with at least 3‑5 years as an HSE Engineer on high‑rise building projects.
• Relevant HSE qualifications such as a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification and NEBOSH IGCOSHAD (ADOSH) Safety Practitioner training.
• Previous experience as a supervision consultant or PMC HSE representative.
