Senior HSE Officer

About the role

The Senior HSE Officer will ensure full compliance with local, statutory and international health, safety and environment standards across the site. You will lead the implementation of the HSE Management System, drive continuous improvement and support a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections, monitor high‑risk activities and enforce PPE and safety signage requirements.
• Implement and maintain risk assessments, permit‑to‑work systems and HSE disciplinary procedures.
• Deliver project HSE induction and monthly training for all workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor environmental compliance, maintain firefighting equipment and ensure emergency procedures are up‑to‑date.
• Prepare and follow up on incident reports, investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with operations, consultants and government authorities to ensure HSE alignment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in well‑established contracting companies in the GCC.
• NEBOSH certification (mandatory).
• Diploma or degree as required by client specifications or local authorities.
• Ability to work outdoors, including shift work in manual or workshop settings.
