Senior Hygiene & Quality Officer

About the role

The Senior Hygiene & Quality Officer will lead food safety and quality initiatives across kitchens, stores, transport and service areas in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure strict compliance with UAE regulations, HACCP, GMP and GHP standards while driving continuous improvement in hygiene practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct hygiene and quality inspections of food receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, holding, labeling and expiry management.
• Monitor temperature control, cleaning, sanitation, pest control, waste handling and chemical management.
• Perform internal audits, identify non‑conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate food complaints, hygiene incidents and product quality issues.
• Maintain HACCP records, inspection reports, temperature logs and audit documentation.
• Deliver food safety and hygiene training to catering staff.
• Support municipality, client, certification and external audits.
• Coordinate with Operations, Kitchen, Stores, Procurement, Transport and Maintenance on hygiene matters.
• Prepare periodic quality and hygiene reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in senior hygiene and quality management within a catering environment.
• Fluent in English; Arabic speaking is preferable.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to provide professional references.
