Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will be based in the client or contractor office and will lead the design, specification and delivery of control system solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, specify and manage control systems including process control, safety, control panels, analyzer, telecommunications, field instrumentation and valve systems.
• Lead advanced controls optimisation and provide technical guidance to designers and less‑experienced engineers.
• Plan, budget, organise, coordinate and control project activities, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Mentor junior staff, conduct performance appraisals and support professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 15 + years of relevant oil & gas or petrochemical experience.
• At least 5 years of offshore project experience in the GCC region.
• Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer certification preferred.
• Proven ability to solve complex engineering problems and lead functional areas on projects.
