Senior Instrumentation Designer

About the role

The Senior Instrumentation Designer will lead the development, coordination and delivery of instrumentation and control design packages for FEED, detailed engineering, EPC and brownfield projects in the oil & gas sector, both offshore and onshore.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review instrumentation and control design deliverables, including instrument location layouts, control room layouts, equipment layout drawings and loop diagrams.
• Produce detailed drawings such as instrument hook‑up, junction box wiring, cable block, termination and routing diagrams, as well as cable schedules and material take‑offs.
• Perform 3D modeling of field instruments, impulse tubing, junction boxes, local control panels, cable trays and related components.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, telecom and civil disciplines to ensure integrated design.
• Support proposal and bidding activities by preparing preliminary layouts, MTOs, man‑hour estimates and engineering deliverables.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15‑20 years of instrumentation design experience in oil & gas, petrochemical and offshore projects, preferably with ADNOC offshore work.
• Proven experience in FEED, detailed engineering, EPC and brownfield phases.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation installation, offshore platform design, cable routing, hazardous area requirements and international codes (IEC, ISA, ADNOC).
