Senior Interior Designer – Apartments & Public Areas

About the role

The Senior Interior Designer will lead all interior design construction supervision activities for apartments and public areas on behalf of the Interior Design Consultant (UDI). You will act as the main interface with the client, PMC, main consultant and contractors, ensuring design intent, specifications and quality standards are upheld throughout the project.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and ensure design compliance with approved documentation, specifications, authority requirements and codes.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, finishes schedules, samples and mock‑ups, including joinery, ceiling, flooring, wall finishes, sanitaryware, ironmongery and visible MEP fixtures.
• Lead construction supervision activities, conduct inspections, witness hold points, approve mock‑ups and verify installed works against approved drawings.
• Manage contractor technical queries, RFIs, design clarifications and value‑engineering assessments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly supervision reports, assess progress, identify risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support commercial technical aspects such as payment applications, variations, claim evaluations and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in interior design for commercial projects, particularly apartments and public areas.
• Proven ability to lead technical reviews, supervise construction and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of local authority requirements, codes and quality management systems.
