Senior Internal Auditor - EPC Projects

About the role

A major engineering and construction company in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor. The role covers financial, project and operational audits, with a focus on EPC projects and their full lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Audit complete EPC project lifecycles, from engineering and procurement through construction to project close-out
• Review project cost control, budgets, cost reports, revenue recognition, variations, claims and change orders
• Audit procurement, subcontracting, vendor management, payments and contract compliance
• Assess the alignment between physical project progress, engineering deliverables and financial reporting
• Identify control weaknesses and risks, and propose practical corrective and preventive actions
• Produce audit reports, management presentations and follow up on corrective action plans

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related field; an engineering qualification or strong EPC project exposure is highly desirable
• 10-15 years of internal audit experience within EPC, Oil & Gas or large project-based organisations
• Professional qualification such as CIA, CPA, CISA or ACCA is an advantage; exposure to ISO/QMS and compliance frameworks is desirable
