Senior IT Engineer

About the role

Flowdesk is a cloud-native crypto market-making firm operating across regulated jurisdictions, building the infrastructure behind its digital asset trading business. Its Secure Engineering team designs, builds and owns the platforms and configurations that the wider IT estate runs on, security first. This is a small team: what you build, the rest of IT operates. You will configure and maintain IT systems across the organisation (identity, endpoint and SaaS platforms) and own vendor and contract management for the tools the team uses.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain IT systems across the organisation, using the team's core platforms (Okta, Jamf, Google Workspace, Cloudflare)
• Source and evaluate new tooling: run vendor assessments, manage procurement and bring in what the business needs
• Own the lifecycle of existing vendor contracts: renewal dates, terms and costs, and flag renegotiation opportunities early
• Act as main point of contact for vendor account and contract matters
• Work with IT Operations to turn their operational needs into system configuration and tooling decisions
• Run your own projects with a good degree of autonomy, keeping senior management informed
• Take part in an IT on-call rota and support IT Operations as needed

Required profile

• 7+ years' experience in IT engineering or a similar technical role, ideally in SaaS-heavy, regulated environments
• Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts: evaluation, procurement, renewal and negotiation
• Able to work autonomously with minimal senior management input, while staying collaborative
• Preferred: experience in financial services or crypto/digital assets
• Preferred: familiarity with Okta, Jamf, Google Workspace or Cloudflare Zero Trust; experience with ITSM/change tooling (JSM or similar)
• Curious, autonomous, highly motivated and results-driven, with strong maths and analytical skills
• Professional proficiency in English
