Senior L2 IT Support Engineer

About the role

The Senior L2 IT Support Engineer will join a team of engineers to provide on‑site end‑user support across client locations in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for resolving tickets, performing installations, and ensuring the stability of Windows and server environments.

Key responsibilities

• Visit client sites to resolve assigned tickets and provide on‑site user support.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications such as Autodesk, AutoCAD, and other architecture software.
• Maintain and migrate Windows Server environments (2012‑2022) including clustering and RAID configurations.
• Support iOS, macOS, and Windows workstations, including Office 365, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Manage email hosting migrations, DNS records, and Azure/Intune cloud services.
• Diagnose LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi AP, and printer issues; configure VPNs and firewalls.
• Perform backup and recovery tasks using Veeam, Acronis, and cloud solutions.
• Document assets, inventory, and IT infrastructure; carry out preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure.
• Strong proactive attitude with the ability to suggest procedural improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 operating systems.
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022.
• RAID configuration and server migration (2012‑2022).
• Windows Server clustering and Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS record management.
• Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook troubleshooting.
• Azure, Intune, cloud backup technologies.
• LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi AP, printer installation, and VPN (IPsec, SSL) configuration.
• Firewall administration (FortiGate, SonicWall, Sophos).
• Video conferencing and CCTV/NVR/DVR configuration.
