Senior Lead DevOps / SRE Engineer (Azure, AKS)

About the role

Lunate, a global alternative investment manager, is looking for a Senior Lead DevOps / SRE Engineer to own the delivery of production‑grade platforms across its Azure estate. The role is hands‑on, translating complex solution designs into secure, reliable services and driving the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Translate reference architectures into production‑ready platforms covering security, networking, identity and runtime considerations.
• Design, implement and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including upgrades, scaling, node‑pool strategy, hardening and workload isolation.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code frameworks using Terraform for provisioning and Ansible for configuration management.
• Engineer multi‑stage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, approval gates and rollback patterns.
• Own release management processes and establish SRE practices to ensure platform reliability, performance and observability.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale Azure/Kubernetes platforms.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Demonstrated ability to lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex platform changes.
• Experience with release management, CI/CD pipelines and Site Reliability Engineering.
• Collaborative mindset working with cloud, security, infrastructure and application teams.
