Senior Legal Associate – Technology & Digital Transformation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Associate to provide strategic legal support for technology, digital transformation and related commercial activities across the UAE. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with applicable laws while protecting the company’s intellectual assets and business interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial and technology agreements, including NDAs, MOUs, consultancy, software, SLA, vendor, joint‑venture, government contracting and pre‑award documents.
• Support tendering, procurement, RFQ/RFP processes and contract award activities.
• Identify hidden liabilities, unfavourable indemnities, unlimited liability clauses, data‑protection and IP risks, as well as tax and regulatory exposures.
• Manage the organization’s IP portfolio – trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, software assets and licensing rights.
• Provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice during commercial negotiations and conduct legal research on UAE and GCC regulatory developments.
• Assist with corporate governance, internal policies, compliance frameworks, investigations and record‑management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent and qualified lawyer status.
• 4–7 years of relevant legal experience within the UAE, preferably in technology, software, telecommunications or digital services.
• Native Arabic speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and technology contracts.
• Solid understanding of UAE commercial law, intellectual property law, data‑protection regulations and technology‑related legislation.
