Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and guidance across its global operations. The role supports the Chief Legal & Ethics Officer and works closely with senior management to resolve legal issues, contain risks, and enable strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal advice to EGA group and subsidiaries in the UAE, Europe, USA, China, Korea, Guinea, and Singapore, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.
• Support the implementation of departmental strategy and align legal activities with corporate objectives.
• Lead and mentor the legal team, set individual objectives, manage performance, and drive talent development.
• Oversee contract management for active contracts, including international subsidiaries, and provide training on contractual rights and obligations.
• Assess and monitor systems that track contractual obligations, conducting periodic reviews to ensure adherence.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures related to legal and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Extensive experience providing legal counsel to multinational corporations.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and support strategic decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
