Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will support GCGRA’s legal, regulatory and operational mandate, advising on a wide range of issues from corporate matters to gaming‑specific regulations. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work closely with internal teams, government bodies and external advisors to ensure compliance with UAE law and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on regulatory, corporate, commercial, privacy, data‑protection, procurement and consumer‑protection matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage complex agreements, contracts and policy documents.
• Conduct legal research on UAE legislation, gaming regulations and relevant international developments.
• Monitor the gaming regulatory landscape and advise on emerging technologies and responsible‑gaming requirements.
• Identify legal risks, develop mitigation strategies and support regulatory decision‑making.
• Assist in the development and implementation of sector policies, legislative proposals and regulatory guidance.
• Support licensing, compliance, investigations, enforcement actions and dispute resolution.
• Maintain relationships with government entities, regulatory authorities and external counsel.

Required profile

• Commercially minded legal professional with strong analytical abilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters independently.
• Experience advising internal stakeholders and interacting with regulatory bodies.
• Familiarity with UAE laws and the gaming regulatory environment.
