Senior Legal Counsel – UAE National

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will serve as the primary legal contact for commercial, enterprise and ICT matters, providing pragmatic, business‑focused advice and ensuring contracts align with company policies and risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements including commercial, ICT, partnership, manpower, data sharing, NDAs, MOUs and standard templates.
• Provide legal support on data security, confidentiality and sensitive matters, managing data‑sharing agreements and related compliance.
• Identify legal and commercial risks, propose practical solutions and support governance across the organization.
• Develop and deliver legal training, contribute to policy and process improvements, and manage external counsel engagements.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant in‑house or law‑firm experience in the UAE, preferably with commercial contract exposure.
• Ability to work independently, engage with stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Strong English legal drafting and communication skills.
• Commercial focus with pragmatic, solution‑oriented approach.
• Understanding of ICT/technology, confidentiality and data‑related legal issues.
• Fluency in Arabic is desirable.
